Hiya,

I went for my 12 week scan this week and found out we’re expecting twins!! This was a massive shock and I’m still trying to get my head around it. I have a little boy who will be turning 3 in April and don’t know how we’re going to manage.

We live in a small 2 bed flat which isn’t going to really fit us all and can’t afford to move, we only moved back to the area in March 2019 and we live in a fairly rural part of Suffolk.

Has anyone else been in this situation where financially it’s going to be a struggle to prepare and fit everyone in the home? I have the usual worries as well about how I’m going to cope with the pregnancy as my lb was born early term due to small birth weight and know it’s more likely with twins!!

Just hoping I’m not alone in this situation...Confused

I can't advice you on the financial side etc but didnt want to read and run.
Massive congratulations! I am a twin and my sister is my best friend. my mum had two boys at the time 6 and 3 and she panicked like yourself when pregnant with is but she got by and said she wouldn't have changed a thing.

Good luck! I am sure you'll manage just fine after getting over the shock

Hellooo i am also from suffolk and expecting my 3rd baby in december. I wonder if we live near by!.. Congratulations to you! Twins how lovely 😍 you will make it work some how dont worry, i live in a 2 bed house, my 3yr old daughter has autism and can't share a room for multiple reasons, i have a 17 month old and looks like him and the new baby will both be in my room! It will be a tight squeeze but we gotta do what we gotta do😘.. i take it you aren't entitled to a council house? X

Thank you!! Massive shock but trying to slowly let it sink in and embrace it😍

I live in East Suffolk, our main bedroom only has enough room for one Moses basket at a push, let alone a cot! I don’t know if I’m entitled to any help from the council, I need to look into it but not sure where to start! Trying to work out, how to just make do with the space we haveHmm

Many people put 3 kids in one room in London. We know a family that put 4 boys in one room. And I know many who put 3 in one room when they can afford not to. We have 2 kids in a room (w a 5 bed house). And I have friends that do the same. And I know one very wealthy family that puts 3 kids in a room. So don’t worry about if they have to share. Initially though, perhaps have the twins in your room until they sleep through the night.
