Doctors call about urine test

Hi all

Just wondering if any of you could give me some advice as worrying a little!

I had a blood test and urine test at the doctors last week. The doctors have rang to say bloods are all fine but the doctor wants a call with me about my urine test. I go away tomorrow so can’t have the call until a weeks time and I’m just fretting.

What could it be?!

Probably an infection. Just call back and ask as you can't wait a week to find out.

I had two separate issues with urine.

One was ketones indicating dehydration, and the other was glucose which meant I had to go for a glucose tolerance test to rule out gestational diabetes.

You need to ring sooner than a week. If you're dehydrated you need increase your fluids now, if it's glucose they might want you to provide another sample before referring you for GTT.

Or it could be something else they are testing for....

I had this a couple of times both were water infections that I had no symptoms of. Try not to worry and give them a call and explain the situation. If you can't get hold of a doctor cud the midwife put your mind at rest?

Yeah I think I will give them a ring tomorrow as just on my mind at the moment, although hopefully it’s nothing!

Thanks for the help all!
