Hello, I am on my 8 weeks of first pregnancy.
I have been living in UK for 5 years around but have not experienced private service even though I have a private insurance with Cigna which covers ultra scan so on.
Recently I have a bleeding spot on and off it got me getting worried.
And I can not find any of early scanning service at early pregnancy unit such as one in London. (I am living in Edinburgh)
Me and my husband haven been considering to have a Ultra scan at private but should I book a doctor at GP first to request kind of referral for it?
Cigna told me that I should ask some code(?) to a doctor at GP first then book with the code for a private ultra scan.
But what does the code mean?
Could anyone explain how whole the process will go to use private service please?
