Baby movements... is this normal!?

So I am 17+4 with my first and over the last couple of days I have had fairly regular movements, mainly around the belly button area. I have had them now and then over the last week or so, but they have become a daily occurrence since the weekend and the feeling moves around, so I assume its baby.
My only query is that it feels nothing like what I read about... it's not fluttering, or bubbles popping... rather it's like I am being prodded repeatedly from the inside when it gets going 😂 sometimes it's even a bit uncomfortable! Anyone else had this?

Thanks in advance!

Im 16w2d and also have been having these feelings, part of me is saying its 'growing pains' and the other is like definitely NOT growing pains! Hahaha

I had none of the 'typical' feelings apart from a very very faint squirmy sensation a couple of times from 15-20 weeks.

My placenta is anterior so I didn't get proper movement until 22ish weeks when it started to feel exactly like there was a mini kickboxer tucked away in there!

I also had this! Although I didn’t feel movement until 20 weeks but it was nothing like “bubbles” it was generally something prodding and poking inside me! Enjoy them, they will get stronger 😊

You may have missed the "bubbles" feeling altogether. I remember it first time round, but this time didn't get it. I was quite gassy generally though so that probably concealed it. You're just feeling the movements when they are more defined. They will only get stronger and more frequent.
