Hard stools

I have been having very hard stools since many weeks causing slight bleeding/spotting each time I poop. Is there any safe solution to this? I am trying to drink more liquids and eat more fibre, but no luck yet!

I’ve had this all the way through. From literally POAS til 21w.... haven’t felt fully evacuated since I got pregnant!

I ate a lot of spinach, helped me! 😂😂

Prunes! I had about 10 a day. Much better than juice.

Coffee! I had cut out caffeine completely and was having the same issue until one day I was exhausted and had a cup and everything moved a lot smother the next time. Since then I have the odd cup every couple of days (so well within the limit for pregnancy) and things have been much better.

@AmritaMK I'd recommend going to the GP and ask for lactulose and an ointment for hemorrhoids. If you don't want to go to the GP just go the chemist but you will have to pay for it then.

I started off using prune juice but it wasn't doing the trick and wish I'd got medical intervention before i ended up with some bleeding and a sore bum!
