So uncomfortable

I'm 31+4 and I am sooooo uncomfortable 😫 other than lying in the bath, I can't find a comfortable position to sit or lie in for more than 10 minutes it's driving me insane! Also feel like my bump is so big that I'm about to burst.

Can't even bear thinking that I've got another 9 weeks of this 😳

I've got physio on Tuesday for SPD and back pain.

I imagine lots of you are in the same position, any good tips for relaxing / being comfortable?!

Have you got a pregnancy pillow? I managed to wrap myself round it and get comfy. Or a birthing ball? Sometimes I was knelt up leaning on the ball rolling forwards and backwards.

Do you have a yoga ball? I was mahooosive in my first pregnancy and found sitting on a yoga ball much better than a sofa! Also maybe try a belly band? They really help my back.

@KatnissK @ItWentInMyEye I do have a pregnancy pillow which does help somewhat, I'll definitely try the ball, I didn't think of that thank you

32 weeks here and totally feel your pain. Been feeling very emotional at the thought of 8 more weeks of this. My bump feels so tight and I have restless legs and just can't get comfy at all.
I use lots of pillows and DH is kind enough to rub my legs and back to try and help me get off to sleep at night.
We can do this 💪🏻

mynameiscalypso · 23/06/2019 19:20

I'm 31+3 so know exactly how you feel! I don't think I've been comfortable for one minute of this weekend. The pregnancy pillow helps a bit but I've found that really random parts of my body are starting to really ache because I'm not sitting/lying in my usual position.

greystar30 · 23/06/2019 19:28

Thank you @Mog6840 and @mynameiscalypso , sorry you're both suffering but it's nice to hear others are feeling the same! You're right, we can do this 💪🏼

Me! I’m 30+1 and feel like sobbing about the lack of sleep I’m getting. I’m constantly turning over in bed with my two pillows, one under my bump and one between my knees (as I have PGP). I just get comfy then get cramp in my feet or calves and have to get out of bed as quickly as possible to walk it off! Definitely counting down the weeks now!
Not long now ladies 😊

hormonesorDHbeingadick · 23/06/2019 21:33

I’ve found physio helpful with my PGP. I’m nearly 35 weeks with a baby measuring 3 weeks ahead and I’m fed up.

With my first I think spent a lot of time in the swimming pool. By the end I wasn’t swimming but just hanging out there.

EllyNC291 · 23/06/2019 22:43

Arggggh me!! 30 weeks and feel exactly the same as you- the only place I’m
Comfy is in the bath!!! Otherwise I get restless legs, ligament pain, hip pain, need to wee, horrendous heartburn, insanely short of breath..... Now I seem to have picked up a cold and can’t stop bloody coughing. I’m completely shattered. I’m going to try and rest in the daytimes a bit more I think? I’m with the people who said a ball can be comfier, I find it good when I have restless legs as I can Move around on it a little, but on the whole I think we just have to suck it up!!

Me! I’m 30 weeks & sooo uncomfortable too! I feel all of your pain! Lying in bed on either side the bones in my thighs end up so painful, my bump is tight and hard & uncomfy. Heartburn terrible, restless legs ( so horrible!), peeing constantly. During the day I’m like a cripple, I had pelvic problems with my last pregnancy & I think they’ve returned for this one too! Aww the things we go through ladies! 😰 I’m beyond exhausted during the day aswell I have two little ones under 4. Really struggling & feel the same as you can’t believe I have another 10 weeks of this & only going to get bigger & more uncomfortable. But just keep trying to focus on meeting baby girl. But it’s so hard! & I don’t think the men will ever begin to understand how much our bodies have to tolerate. Women are amazing! 🙌🏼 Hope all of you find some ways of relieving your woes. Lots of love x

Maybe a pregnancy massage could help relax you, there might be some pregnancy yoga tips on YouTube as well.

greystar30 · 24/06/2019 14:40

Thank you everyone for your replies and recommendations!

Can anyone recommend a particular gym ball to buy that won't burst?!😳 bit worried about sitting on one and it going bang haha

Pregnancy massage sounds like a fab idea too Smile

I got a cheap ball off Amazon, www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07HQWKMZ5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?psc=1&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&ie=UTF8

You need 65cm if you are under 5ft 7 and 75cm if taller.

hormonesorDHbeingadick · 24/06/2019 14:44

Most balls have a weight limit of 17 1/2 stone.

greystar30 · 24/06/2019 16:00
