Bulky uterus?!

So I had a scan at the beginning of June to establish how far along I am, turned our to benonly 7 weeks. But I've just looked back at the report and under 'uterus' it says 'bulky' now me and DP had a laugh about it but then I googled it and the only thing that came up was uterine cancer symptoms was a bulky uterus, now I'm worried shitless.

Then I Googled pregnancy bulky uterus and coukdnt find much but seemed normal.

But I cant get cancer out of my head now. Is it just a pregnancy thing or should I be worried? Does anyone else have 'bulky uterus' on their scan report?

Enlarged uteruses can be for a number of reasons. Fibroids / endometriosis / being overweight or having irregular periods.

As far as I am aware I have none of those things. If I did would it be something the sonographer would tell me at the scan?

I did have extremely painful periods though, unbearable I could hardly stand up straight when I was on. Q

You won’t be diagnosed with endometriosis unless you have a special procedure or if it’s so bad it’s in the face of the sonographer when they check your womb. Similarly fibroids often grow during pregnancy.

Hi, I've got endo (only diagnosed by laparoscopy), and I have a 14 week uterus. My surgeon didn't mention it, I only read it in the letter, so unless they make a point of saying it's a problem I'd assume it's not.

My endo is stage three, not sure if that matters.

I had a "bulky" uterus at early scans. It's good and normal! Indicates that the environment is right for pregnancy to progress.

Don't worry.

My physician wrote “bulky Uterus” on my notes after doing a pelvic exam. I had a weak positive pregnancy test and went to him for confirmation. It turns out I was just in very early pregnancy (confirmed by blood tests)

Thanks everyone sounds like its pretty normal then.

Bloody Google, anxiety and pregnancy are not a great trio!
