Trying to tackle anxiety in pregnancy

Hey guys,

I just wanted to document what it’s been like gaining control over this anxiety I’ve had in pregnancy.
I suffer from anxiety anyway and to be honest I find ways of coping myself... usually hardcore exercise, I also find Kalms are fantastic.
Obviously in pregnancy we can’t use the same outlets we might to tackle anxiety which is hard.
I’ve had a good few days but woken up this morning feeling full of guilt about having anxiety and just wanted to let anyone know who feels the same that they are not alone.
I know I’m doing my absolute best for this little bubba and to make myself feel guilty about having anxiety is really naughty and not helpful at all.
Hope everyone has a great day and if you don’t then don’t beat yourself up about it. Good days will come 💜

Kate, this is a lovely post, thank you! I too have struggled with anxiety and still have good days and bad days, but even just acknowledging when it's anxiety really helps me.

I've been using the (paid for but worth it IMHO) app Headspace Plus, which has a 30 day meditation course to cope with anxiety and I love it. They also have a course for throughout pregnancy!

It's different for everyone, but there is always something to help with anxiety, pregnant or not. I hope whomever is in the same boat finds a good method while we're growing our babies, and after!

It's something that affects so many people, yet we don't often talk about it. Well done you for bringing it into the limelight and to everyone out there with anxiety, you're definitely not alone!
