I descaled the kettle this morning and thoroughly bleached the sink. I didnt use gloves nor did I worry about inhaling the fumes. It didnt occur to me until later that this might be a problem. Im six weeks pregnant and I am now worrying myself sick. There is such a load of stuff on Google - some saying its fine and some saying it can cause birth defects, asthma etc! What are your thoughts?

With all due respect, calm down and stay away from google.

Thank you, I appreciate your honesty. There is all sorts of stuff on the internet about how cleaning products are bad for your unborn baby! As you say Pussyhat - I should stay away from Google. Think I was a bit hormonal and exhausted yesterday, nevertheless I wont be descaling the kettle in a hurry again - at least for the next 8 months!

I don't think so. Unless you go ingesting the stuff.
