Hi
Can anyone help me. I am 22 weeks pregnant. I have been waking every two hours for most of pregnancy. Its so frustrating as I cant always get back to sleep. I am exhausted. Has this happened to anyone else ?

My sleep is shit as well and I’m 29 weeks. Waking every few hours to go to the loo no matter how early I stop drinking in the evening. Too hot, can’t get comfortable, baby on bladder, heartburn. I had mad vivid dreams in the early days as well. At least once it’s born, if it sleeps for three hours, I can sleep for three hours as well. Luckily the toddler has finally fallen in love with sleep so he’s one less problem overnight!

I’m suffering too. It’s like the pregnancy hormones have caused me not to sleep. I’m exhausted but can’t sleep well. I feel I’m not getting deep sleep.

Same here! I’m 30 weeks today and been waking up every couple of hours since about 18 weeks.

I'm 23 weeks and also waking up about 3-4 times a night to go to the loo!

This happened to me in my first pregnancy. And I'm only 7 weeks now and it's already starting. Later in pregnancy what helped (and I never thought it would!) I downloaded some mindful mamma hypnotherapy mp3s on to my iPhone and I would fall asleep within minutes. It won't work for everyone and I thought it was Mumbo-jumbo at first but I was knackered and desperate so willing to try anything lol. I hope it improves. I used to be up at 4am cleaning the kitchen cupboards (which is not like me!).

Thankyou for answering ! Its good to know that it happens to other people too. Tho horrible for you as well. I have been suffering with anxiety so not sure if it was that or pregnancy causing me to wake Even tho anxiety is more under control sleep is the same !

From week 18 until I went into labour I struggled with sleep mainly due to PGP.

I'm sorry to hear you're having such a tough time op.

I clearly remember the "oh just you wait until the baby is here, at the moment you don't even know what 'tired' means!" brigade well. Tried to ignore!

I hope you manage to get some decent sleep soon Thanks
