Bleeding and clots for nearly 3 weeks 9 weeks pregnant

I’m currently nearly 9 weeks pregnant and have been bleeding for almost 3 weeks. I started bleeding on the 3rd June and had a scan on 5th June which showed a heartbeat and then went on holiday for 2 weeks where I then bleed on and off for a few days. I then started to bleed heavy with lots of clots so assumed I was having a miscarriage. After 3 days the bleeding got lighter and changed to a brownish colour but then Wednesday I started bleeding heavy again with more clots and I’m still bleeding. I only got back from my holiday last night and have been to the doctors today and have got a scan Monday. I just can’t work out why I would have more bleeding and why for so long. Anybody else experienced this before.

I will do. Thank you kkl. It’s all just a bit odd and I don’t have a clue what’s going on.

I bled for three weeks from six and a half weeks onwards. It was caused by a sub chorionic haematoma. Somehow my little bean hung on. I was amazed.

That’s eurochick. It’s really nice to hear I’m not the only one in this boat. I’m hoping that’s what it is and that everything else is ok. Did your bleeding stop on it’s own?

I had a subchorionic haematoma too. I bled so heavily I was 100% certain I was miscarrying but the baby was fine. The bleeding lasted weeks and weeks and eventually stopped on its own. Was very scary though!

Yes. It started with cramping and really heavy bleeding. It eventually tailed off.

I’m wondering if that’s what I have. I just feel if it was a miscarriage it would have been over by now
