Anyone else? 😄

I'm on the last 6 and a bit weeks now. Stretch marks seem to be making a new appearance daily now 😔 however I start my official maternity leave next week! (Currently using up 2 weeks holiday)
Babies kicks are so much stronger and midwife says he's head down now.
I wonder if time will pass quickly or feel like an eternity..

Hello 😌 August here too. Pretty big group of us somewhere... Been trying to find it myself 😂 I'm mostly on the Facebook group these days. My due date is the 26th so still got a couple weeks left of work 🤦🏼‍♀️

MissPollyHadADolly19 · 21/06/2019 23:08

28th August here!
Was signed off from work a while ago due to PGP but so bored, wish I could of stayed on longer as time is just dragging now Sad

loveya · 22/06/2019 06:59

Due 12th August... baby is head down apparently, my pelvis is killing me these days and life is just so boring right now...

Lexyness · 22/06/2019 07:11

August 13th here 👋
Baby was breech on Tuesday 😭 and for the entire rest of the pregnancy has been transverse 🙄
Think she’s moved again now though as I managed to eat dinner last night without loadsa pain in my rib cage, and overnight the hiccups were in a different place! Baby’s movements are so strong that I’m super tender and flinched when the MW touched me, she says I might have internal bruising 😱
52 days and counting x

August 4th here but having some issues, so probably be here within 3 weeks! Still at work as really need the money but starting to struggle a little now. Making sure we get last bits ready this weekend--car seat in, crib up, hospitalbag 100% done.

Kathryn19 · 22/06/2019 08:10

August 23rd over here! Started feeling quite big now. Time still seems to be rushing by but wonder if that'll change as I get to the final stretch...
@Happy2be it's on the antenatal boards - I also prefer the fb but like to check the thread new and again.. and sometimes the ones around us to see what is coming up in the months ahead haha!

mumoftwo1988 · 22/06/2019 08:26

I'm due 1st August it's all going way too slow for me lol my spd/pgp has been awful this week 😔 can barely walk. And awful pain under my left rib! Does anyone else have nausea and loose bowls?

PhoebeBear · 22/06/2019 11:04

Ah it's so good to hear how everyone is!
As @Happy2be mentioned there was a group for August babies but not sure what happened to it.
I'm due 8th and so excited! It's my first , a little boy.
Had a class the other day but only learnt how to bath a baby, all other classes are fully booked and I really wanted to learn more about labour.. 🙄

@mumoftwo1988 haven't had nausea or loose bowls im afraid. I know towards the end of pregnancy loose bowls could mean baby is on way! However I must say the past few data I've had some really bad wind! Like I had to blame the dogs at one point it was so smelly 😂

Me but only just, due 31st August. Hoping he’ll make an appearance a couple of weeks early, I can’t wait to meet him.

scratchbass · 22/06/2019 15:25

@PhoebeBear there's a thread for August due dates over in ante-natal clubs, onto the 5th thread by the looks of things!

Kathryn19 · 22/06/2019 16:22

@FrancesV83 I'm torn.. would love to meet baby sooner but then totally not prepared house/baby stuff/work wise for her to make an early appearance!!!

mumoftwo1988 · 22/06/2019 18:18

I had my second child at 37 weeks and was so unprepared lol so I'm trying to get organised this time just incase

FrancesV83 · 22/06/2019 19:41

@Kathryn19 I know what you mean, I’ve got most things sorted but not my hospital bag yet. My concern is I’m already measuring at the 90th percentile, (my other son was 97th percentile) and 8lb 4 born nearly 2 weeks early. I seem to grow big babies! I’m not sure why as I’m a petite 5ft 3!
I would like him to be here earlier to enjoy the summer with him.

Kathryn19 · 22/06/2019 22:59

@FrancesV83 wow that is a good sized baby! I had a growth scan recently as was measuring small for dates but baby was shown to be a bit above average - not quite trusting anything, will just see how she is!
I've half started on a hospital bag - just pack bits and bobs as I buy them. We have some of the baby essentials - just been given a moses basket and bought a mattress for it, have enough clothes for a long time... but need nappies and bottles and all that still! Plus a lot of it is being stored at mum and dad's for now.
We'll get it all sorted in the end!
My husband really wants summer with the baby too, and it would save on boiling commutes... hmmm

PhoebeBear · 24/06/2019 16:24

I've got hospital bag ready! Just waiting on little babies arrival! It's my first and although I don't feel nervous yet I feel very excited! Is there anything anyone wishes they knew/ did before baby arrives?

I wish someone would do the nesting part for me 🤣 never had it with the other 3 dc and haven’t had it yet this time either 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’m just so tired I can’t begin to think about housework let alone the extras people do when nesting!
I made a start on my hospital bag but didn’t get very far! My mum has been round today and taken all my newborn baby (plus some tiny baby) clothes to wash for me, and I’m hoping to get blankets done myself (although washing machine seems to be on non-stop anyway so don’t know how to find time to squeeze it in)

Also - did not know anything about antenatal groups on here 🤔 what happens on those?

Kathryn19 · 25/06/2019 09:01

@Lexyness my hospital bag packing is also going slowly.. I've just been trying to get a thing or two each time I'm by relevant shops! I havent felt the nesting urge yet... if anything I feel the opposite. So tired I'm just like meh that'll do!
The antenatal boards seem to have fewer threads that go much longer.. so due months tend to have one but they run onto quite a lot of threads. The August one resulted in a secret fb group being set up (think that is again quite common) where it's a bit easier to chat and share photos and things!
