Cyst during pregnancy experience?

Has anyone had an ovarian cyst during pregnancy?
I had my dating scan yesterday (at 13+3) and the sonographer noticed a cyst. She initially said it wasn't something to worry about and it would probably just be checked at my 20week scan. She went on to take lots of measurements and by the time I got to reception to book my 20 week scan in, she had booked me in with a specialist consultant in July.
Anyone had any experience of this? Were they just monitored or did you have to have it removed?

Iv had cysts all through my pregnancies as i have PCOS but never had any removed! They normally go on there own 😊

I had one with my second pregnancy. It was spotted on my 20 week scan.

The size was roughly a grapefruit and as it was large-ish, they did an MRI scan but then decided to leave it alone during the remainder of my pregnancy. From around 30 weeks, I had more regular scans to check it wasn't impeding the baby's growth and the baby wasn't going to make it burst!
All was fine and I had the cyst, ovary and Fallopian tube removed a few months after my DD was born.

Thanks both of you; both very reassuring! It's the unknown that scares me most! An appointment has been made for me but there is nothing about the cyst in my scan report or maternity notes! Perplexing!
