40 weeks stretch and sweep

I had a S&S yesterday when I was 40 weeks. MW said cervix was 1cm and she was able to successfully sweep and could feel the baby's head. She said it was a good sign that I was 1cm as this is my first baby.

It has now been 24 hours since the S&S and nothing major has happened I have been walking around and bouncing on ball and just had a few little twinges. Getting really fed up and uncomfortable and just want baby to be here now!

Just wondering if anyone has had any similar experiences and any recommendations.

If nothing happens having another S&S at 41 weeks.

I don't think there's really anything you can do to be honest... my recommendation would be to just enjoy the time and try and stay busy.

I had multiple sweeps, tried sex, curries, walked everyday, bounced on my ball every day and was 5cm dilated for two weeks before being induced at nearly two weeks overdue.

I'm a strong believer now that babies come when they are ready so there's no point stressing or wearing yourself out trying to get things moving.

Good luck :)
