Second early scan! So nervous

So I had a scan last Sunday thinking from my LMP that I was 7weeks5days
Hoping to see a little prawn with a heartbeat after an internal she said I was measuring at 5+5 I was worried sick thinking baby isn't growing and I've done nothing but get upset since!!
There was a healthy sack and yolk but no fetal pole and too early for heartbeat!
So the OH has booked me in for another scan this afternoon at a different place to hopefully see some improvements
By the Sonographers dates I'll be 6+3
I'm really hoping I can hear the heartbeat but I kind of know it's still maybe too early
Has anyone had a scan at 6+3 and could offer any advice !!??

I've still got it in my head that I'm 8+3 by my dates so I guess I'll just have to wait and see

Has anyone been put back 2 weeks from an early scan, the wait is just killing me x

Hey OP I had an early scan at 6+3 and got to see a heartbeat

@MummyBear405 thank you so much I think once I hear that little heartbeat I won't be going crazy like I am now and I'll just accept the dates ❤️

I had exactly the same I also had an early scan and measured 5 and 3 days which was behind to what I dated I also saw the pregnancy sac but no baby or heartbeat i had another scan a week later and when I went the dates measured back up to what I thought and we saw a little baby and a tiny heart beat I was so happy after all the stress I'm nearly 13 weeks now good luck all the best to you

Hi op, very similar to you I went for an early scan expecting to be 7 +4 based on LMP, and was told I was only 5+ 4. I was a little panicked thinking they meant it had stopped growing, but they reassured me I must have ovulated later than I thought and that it was growing healthily for that stage.

I was invited back 2 weeks later, and it was 7 +4 and everything was fine. So I never “caught up” I’ve stayed 2 weeks behind what I first thought based on LMP, and must have ovulated later like they said.

Now 34 weeks and all fine, good luck!!!

@Chinks123 congratulations and thank you! Yeah I'm assuming I ovulated later too, I have never tracked ovulation but I didn't get a BFP until 8 days after AF was due, so it does kind of make sense ❤️x

I forgot to say i saw heartbeat (not heard it) at a 6+3 so I'm sure you will have a good experience today (but I didn't have same experience as I wasn't aware of LMP dates etc)

This was my early scan this is 7 weeks and 4 days ill keep my fingers crossed for you that all is well these little babies sure know how to scare us

@SamRwl I’d stopped tracking ovulation that month as we’d been ttc dc2 for a while. It also took me 7/8 days to get a bfp! Very similar so it would make sense I’ll keep everything crossed for you x

Another reason for wanting an early scan is to find out if there is one or two she said last week it was still too early to tell, I'm an identical twin and have a few sets in the family!
I was so nervous for the scan but now I'm feeling quite excited xx

@SamRwl Good luck with your scan. I've only ever had early NHS scans and although I've seen the heartbeat we didn't get to hear it. Not sure if it's different with private scans tho? Just didn't want you to get your hopes up on hearing it if it's not possible. Wishing you luck for this afternoon! Let us know how it goes x

Good luck with your scan. I went to a private scan expecting to be 8 weeks based on my LMP but was only dated to 6 weeks.
At my booking appointment they still went with my LMP dates and I went for my 12 week scan and had to go back again because I was only measuring 10 weeks 5 days so I never caught up either. The baby wasn't quite big enough for them to do all the diagnostic tests.
The bonus was they gave me a scan photo for free and then I paid for the ones at the 12 week scan and I got to have another proper scan.
Definitely agree with other posts about the later ovulation and also about not hearing the heartbeat - I've not heard ours yet despite having had three scans and an appointment with the midwife two weeks ago.

Hope everything goes well with the new scan. I know all about the waiting game - I've got to wait until 4th July for my 20 week scan!

Good luck today OP. If it is a private clinic then you may well get to hear the heartbeat when they scan you, I had one at 8 weeks and was able to hear it.

Ahh so I've just had the scan, it doesn't look good, although there is now a fetal pole still no heartbeat and looks like I've had a little bleed inside, she's referred me to EPU Monday morning but has told me to expect the worst x
