Hi, I’m 4 days overdue and the past week I have had increase in discharge (sorry TMI) but today I’ve experienced really bad heartburn. This is my second baby and I didn’t experience this prior to labour with my first. I had slight heartburn throughout my pregnancy, really only after consuming caffeine, but this has eased off in the last few weeks and I haven’t had any caffeine today.

Is this a sign of labour? And has anyone had this prior to giving birth?

I’m losing patience now! And I was 9 days over with my first! I don’t think I could cope with another 5 days lol! Smile

Nope, it's just you're running out of space and the baby is pushing your stomach upwards, making your stomach acid rise.

Sorry! Fingers crossed the baby makes an appearance soon

When I was pregnant I found liquid gaviscon the best as you could feel it soothing as you swallowed it

Oh no! Every little niggle I’m getting I’m hoping it’s a sign. I had no indication prior to labour with my first, it just happened that night and contractions woke me up. I am so impatient!

I commented on a thread recently saying the night before I went into labour, I had bad diarrhoea. I full blown clear out of my digestive system.

Anyway I told my MW and she said that's your body preparing. It happened with both kids.

Least I didn't poo during labour! There was nothing left in me

I’m still waiting on the diarrhoea lol I didn’t have with my first either but I did poo during delivery Blush I didn’t know until a few weeks after when I asked DP!!
