Hi so every now and then first thing in the morning I throw up and it's very yellow real bottom of my tummy stuff it's starts of like trapped wind and ill be burping and trumping then I feel really sick and end up with my head in the pan! I'm going to try see gp tomorrow as I'm worried as previously I've not been this ill in pregnancy. What can I do to lessen this happening I don't know how to sort the windy problem as I'm drinking mint tea alot it's like super terrible ibs x any advice

I had that, it was horrible but I can only recommend nibbling plain biscuits like Rich Tea. Also, although you might not feel like eating or drinking having something in your stomach to actually puke makes it a bit less painful. Sucking fruit pastilles all the time makes it taste less bad too. (TMI?)

There might be more modern solutions to this but back in 1979/80 nobody medical was very interested and I was left to my own devices. I was sick for pretty much the whole 9 months but managed to give birth to a 7lb 14 oz baby anyway.

For me, this is caused by congestion. I use sterimar nasal spray to clear my nose morning and night, and I use a beconase nasal spray prescribed by GP to stop the build up of nasal fluids. This seems to work, I still gag sometimes but havent been sick with bile in a few weeks, I'm now 24 weeks. Could be worth a thought if you have a stuffy nose?

Hi
Extremely flat proper coke. Not the sweetener rubbish
Seaband things on your wrists
Plain mashed potato with a bit of butter worked in
Best of luck
The more you puke the stronger the baby xx

It's probably because you have an empty stomach. I get it when I'm not pregnant and have had it a few times in the last few weeks (I'm a week ahead of you). My stomach seems to be emptying super fast so I have to try and keep something on it. I keep a tin of crackers (I like matzos because they're really dry, light and not greasy but water biscuits would be similar) by the side of the bed and I have one of those when I first wake up. I haven't had any other type of pregnancy sickness either.

Also, fennel tea is good for wind as an alternative to mint (peppermint makes me wretch).

This is not exactly advice but just to let you know you aren’t alone I had morning sickness like that practically the whole 9 months of my pregnancy. I didn’t find much helped but dry crackers or ginger biscuits might help it slightly.

I puked the entire 9 months with my third child, exactly the same vile sour bile in the mornings, I started making myself a glass of full sugar ribena the night before and drinking it as soon as I woke. Still puked but it was easier having a bit of 'body' to it not working hard on small bits of bile and it tasted lovely coming back up. Sadly I don't think the gp will have much to help you but I really hope they've discovered something new in the last decade.

If you get really sexy you could end up like me, 8 months pregnant managing to puke, pee myself and get a nose bleed all at the same time. I did NOT do the whole glowing thing.

I get this when I wake up, it's just cause your stomachs empty. Pick a squash you don't mind hating and down a glass at the start when you feel you're going to be sick it makes the bile come up easier and tastes less disgusting.

Hi thank you all for the replies I will try eating a cracker first thing a go too see if that helps x my two girl pregnancies I didn't feel like this makes me feel like this may be a boy as its out of this world different I've never felt so ill for so long 🤮

If your really struggling your gp could prescribe you some antisickness tablets (no harm to baby). I had to take them just so I could eat something. But it never helped with the sickness in the morning so that continued throughout. Hope you feel better soon!
