Help?! Bleeding, Ivf, no answers

I woke up on Sunday and had pains on the sides of my tummy - I usually get tummy cramps so I didn't think much of it. Around 3pm I felt wet and saw blood on my chair, I ran to the toilet to find that I had wet myself and there was a clot of blood - not big. I have never in my life done this, I felt no urge to go toilet, nothing, I also had blood in my urine. I went to the hospital and informed them I am ivf approx at week 6.. I had bled once more but only a tiny bit and another small clot. They weren't too concerned, internal examination showed my cervix was closed but they could see blood around it, and said it could be normal for my body but there was a chance or a miscarriage. Ruled out ectopic and Booked me for scan for Friday.

Monday I woke up to blood again a bigger clot but not huge - once again not heavy. I then had blood again after lunch another clot. I started having pains at my lower right side of my stomach and it started alternating between both left and ride sides of the sides of my stomach and the two lower parts.. I went to hospital and they did another internal - cervix closed again. This time they got a second opinion, the registrar this time said there could be 3 outcomes, an ectopic, miscarriage, or normal for my body and booked me an emergency vaginal ultrasound for the next morning.

Interval vaginal ultrasound showed something in my uterus that 'looks like a cluster of clots', but they can't see a baby and I haven't formed a sac yet.. she said there is a potential the baby or babies (2 embryo transfer) are so small they cannot be seen, or they can both/one of them can be an ectopic, or I have miscarried. They finally put me forward for a hcg blood test, another one tomorrow to see if it is rising or declining to check if I am still pregnant..

I feel so down and am desperate for an answer or to know if there is anyone that has gone through something similar at all???? The uncertainty is really horrible and it feels like the longest and hardest week of my life.. any advice? Anyone been through something similar?????

First of all I’m sorry you have to go through this as a similar thing happened to me, I’m currently 32 weeks pregnant following ICSI. Around weeks 6/7 I was away in Germany for the weekend and I also started to bleed. It was on and off for the whole weekend, pretty heavy and I was convinced that was the end. Since that time I’ve had no further bleeding but I absolutely understand how anxious you must be feeling. I was crying in the airport on the way home I was so stressed. Try to stay calm (harder than it sounds I know) and have some rest of the next few days. Hope it turns out good for you x
