Just found out I have ICP!

Anyone else out there had it? Or got it? Able to tell me positive stories!

I never thought it would of been this just thought I was dehydrated due to dark urine but when searching and coming across itching of the hands and feet (which I had been experiencing also but wasn't concerned about) I thought I best contact my midwife unit! To be fair they were fab took my bloods and had the results back in hours ... however I now know I have ICP and need to go for more appointments tomorrow!

I don't have ICP and haven't had it... but a close friend of mine did. She was monitored throughout her pregnancy since being diagnosed with it. Unfortunately, she also ended up getting preeclampsia eventually too and baby stopped growing as she had issues with her placenta too, so she had to have a c-section at 33 weeks because they said he would be safer on the outside than inside at that point. Her baby boy was completely fine though and is now coming up to a year old, perfectly healthy! I think with ICP, it's mainly you who is affected rather than the baby, and you will be fine. You just have to deal with the symptoms while pregnant and they will keep a good eye on you throughout. Good luck and hope all goes well for you!
