I'm 32 weeks today ( first time mom ) and I had a dream last night that my baby died and I was going to have to have a still birth I was crying in my sleep and it woke me up , I know dreams don't mean these things can literally happen but it honestly freaked me out an scared me and made me sad ... I don't wanna dream about stuff like that ever again , could it mean I'm nervous , scared , anxious? To bring a new life into this crazy world ? Any tips , please help

I had a nightmare last night. I posted something similar earlier. I’m suffering with anxiety at the moment so think that along with hormones caused the vivid dream. Think it’s just one of those pregnancy things. I’m only 14 + 3 though. Wish I was as far along as you!!!! Times dragging xx

I had this at the beginning of my pregnancy and it went. Not sure why it happens but seems to be quite common... my dreams were really morbid aswell. So weird that it happens!

That was a horrible dream, Sav, but you know that dreams mean nothing; most people have a bit of anxiety in the back of their minds during pregnancy and on this occasion, yours came to the fore. It's not a prediction though so please try not to dwell on it.

Yeah my pregnancy to me is flying by ! But yeah I don't suffer with anxiety at all of depression or anything like that but that dream was terrible !! Like I heard myself crying in myself an felt tears come out of my closed eyes , it was so vivid an real I hated it , but I think it just means I am nervous and scared to give birth an be a mom in general I'm a first time mom an I'm super nervous for it ( I feel like Rachel from friends ) not prepared or knowing anything but I do know some stuff I was a nanny for 5 years ! But this time it's my own child it's different an new and I'm just on edge a little bit , thank u all for ur kind words

I've been having bad dreams on and off in my pregnancy, I'm 21 weeks now. In most of mine, DP leaves me or cheats on me!
The most upsetting was the other night when he left me and took the dog!
I think its hormones and anticipation of the birth/having a baby.

I've had cheating dreams too ! I honestly think it's the anticipation of the baby coming

I woke up last night at about 2am and I was crying, can't remember any dream but thought it was weird that I was crying. Glad to know it's a bit normal!

roobine · 22/06/2019 19:39

Ah that sounds really upsetting 🙁
I read up on pregnancy nightmares quite a bit and consensus does seem to be that it's really normal, but that doesn't make it any easier when they happen!
I went through a horrible phase of dreaming about really graphic, brutal murders of both people and animals 😮😮😮 (I sometimes observed but was sometimes the perpetrator which was even more 😮).
If I'm woken in the night by them I sometimes stick on a guided relaxation and that does seem to help settle me back down, might be worth trying

Crazy dreams , hope it goes away

I dreamt that i was in some post apocalyptic works where the place was being run by these red coated soldiers.

I was staying with a friend who was working as a prostitute. He presents didn't know and thought she worked in a bar. I finally realised i needed some money and due to the soldiers it was hard to get by so i figured i could sell my body too... I had been working in a hospital but had quit that job.

Anyway we then meet up with my friends parents fur lunch. He dad looked just like Tommy Cooper and even wore the hat. He joked how everyone said he was styling himself after the comedian but he said he's been seeing like this since Berne Cooper was around.

His daughter said she so rarely seen him without his heart she didn't know what the to of his head looked like so he made a show of lifting the heart up so she could see the top of this head.

Yeah... Weird dream.
