Can anyone please tell me the symptoms and the cause?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

This is going to sound rather unhelpful, but there are often no symptoms at all (my GD was a complete surprise to me) and the cause is usually either hereditary or just plain bad luck - it's certainly not caused by eating too much sugar.

Thank you

That's exactly what I was wondering. I've been living on sugary crap during this pregnancy and for the life of me I cannot stay awake. I know that the fact I'm eating crap won't help but I mean excessively tired so was looking for all possibilities. My wonderful gp merely said "Well you have 3 children, what do you expect?"!
