Overdue 4 days now - can I ask for an induction?

Due date was 14th June. I've been lucky enough to have a very healthy and normal pregnancy and last scan baby was right on time.
My anxiety is just so bad I feel like I can't take another day of this.
I want to call the midwife tomorrow and ask for an induction straight away. Has anyone done this? Can they say no?

They can say no I think. With my first I was made to go full 2 weeks over because they had no reason to induce me as baby was healthy and be happy!

Speak to your midwife about it and see what she says. I've always had really positive induction experiences for both my births but they don't like doing it until it's necessary as it can be a long stressful process

I really wouldn't early labour in hospital is not fun. I know it is really hard all 3 of my babies were overdue (from 1 - 10 days). But your baby will be here soon when it is ready or you will be induced (less likely) at something like 40 + 10. Your baby is not late it really isn't. I wish we could move away from due dates - they cause nothing but angst. You are still well within your normal expected delivery window.
