Tummy pain

Hello, just after some advice. On Saturday I had a sharp tightening pain in my tummy that lasted about a second or two. It happened a couple of times again yesterday and a few times again this morning. Although this morning it only seemed to be on the left side. It’s quite painful and really catches me by surprise and takes my breath away. I phoned through to the midwife day assessment centre and they asked lots of questions and said that it could be a sign of a bladder or kidney infection but she said that other than this she didn’t seem too concerned which is great. I went along to the doctor to do a urine sample but it’s come back all clear. Do you have any idea what it could be? Should I be worried? I’m 29 weeks + 2 days.

Thanks xxxx

Where abouts in your tummy is it?
My hips displaced at 24 weeks and it started with pains like that, if it’s increasing after standing up or laying down too long I’d see a physio!

I had lots of tummy pain at various times throughout both pregnancies. Panicked about all of it, got numerous urine tests all clear. Ultimately babies turned out just fine and the pain was never explained other than likely stuff in there just being moved around!

As long as your doctor / midwife is checking up on you and seem happy try not to worry x
