Just that really how long did it take for your blood test results to come back, and how did you find out?

In the post, about 4 days after having them done.

anitagreen · 17/06/2019 00:04

I would have thought so! Give your midwife a call tomorrow and chase it up, maybe they got sent in there instead or they can access them online.

Bambamber · 17/06/2019 00:54

I didn't get my results until my 16 week appointment. My midwife had them long before then but didn't need to contact me as there was nothing that needed to be done.

Your midwife should have your results within a week, and would contact you if there was anything of major concern. If you're worried, give your midwife a call and she can check to see if she's received the reaults

Gilliganskitchenisland · 17/06/2019 03:13

It only takes the lab a couple days max to process the results and put them on your electronic file. Different hospitals will have different policies regarding how and when you get your results - many have a "no news is good news" system unless you phone and ask.

Ponchie · 17/06/2019 03:18

I was told that no new was good news by my midwife, if there was an issue I'd hear within 4 days.

paddington34 · 17/06/2019 03:36

mine took ages. Definitely over two weeks and the weee uploaded onto my online notes sonI remember constantly logging onto check.

Rememberallball · 17/06/2019 07:07

All depends on whether you had just routine bloods done or also had screening bloods done. If routine bloods, then results are given at your next routine midwifes appointment unless there is a problem when they would get in touch. If screening bloods were done, then it will be after your dating scan and NT measurements - usually by letter with the results but sometimes at the hospital where they input the measurements into a programme with the blood results and get the risk there and then.

PrayingandHoping · 17/06/2019 08:14

If there was a problem mine said she'd phone me. She went through with me at 16 weeks there was no issues

anitagreen · 17/06/2019 10:59

Thanks everyone it was the routine bloods im going back up today to have the other ones done for Down syndrome is it? I can't remember with my other two children how they came back now.

The downs blood is done at same time as your 12 weeks scan. My results they said would take up to 2 weeks but I had them in days

Liverbird77 · 17/06/2019 12:40

I think they told me at my next appt, however they would've called before that if anything had been an issue

anitagreen · 17/06/2019 14:18

Been today she said the routines can take up to 3 weeks however if something did show they'd call me before hand. Our notes are all electronic now and online so hopefully it'll be updated soon to say negative x
