@campervan00- I honestly don’t know. I’ve got to 14 weeks now and I’m cracking wondering how I’ll get through even the next 6 weeks to my 20 week scan. My anxiety has peaked the last few days, I don’t think the hormones help 😭. Wish I could be more positive but being honest lol xx

I told people straight away when i found out so i didnt have that worry, i did worry every time i went to the toilet that i was going to wipe and there be blood, and any ache or pain in my belly scared the life out of me, then the sickness kicked in and with a disabled 3yr old and a 14month old at home i felt like it was too much i just couldnt cope, i had NEVER been as depressed in my whole life than i was in the first 10 weeks! But you just keep going and taking every day as it comes because you have too, what else can you do, what will be will be, stressing doesn't help anything ( i know its hard not too ).. keep occupied and i hope the 12 weeks fly by super quick for you!!🤞🏻😘 how many weeks are you atm? X

Pastaalldaylong · 16/06/2019 21:27

The worry still hasn't stopped for me at 29 weeks!

Kate3150 · 16/06/2019 21:40

@Pastaalldaylong- I was hoping I’d be anxiety free by then 😬. Looks like I’m in for the long haul lol xx

cravingmilkshake · 16/06/2019 21:43

I just got to 35 weeks and still checking the toilet tissue in case there is blood! The first 12 weeks were horrendous, then the 20 week anomaly scan wait, then I was waiting to 28 weeks as I know the baby has a fair chance of survival!

It's never ending, however, my anxieties are now subsiding after reading a few books! X

Kate3150 · 16/06/2019 21:47

@cravingmilkshake- I’m crippled with anxiety, would you say it got better by so many weeks? I’m currently 14 and just had first scan xx

Pastaalldaylong · 16/06/2019 21:55

@Kate3150 I agree with Craving, after the 20 week scan I felt a little more relaxed but still anxious. When I reached 24ish weeks I felt better knowing baby had reached a viability stage. But tbh the worry doesn't stop. Once I started feeling movements that was another worry as if I didnt feel them for a day I'd worry. And now I worry about still birth which I know is a very small chance but still... I think I'm just a worrier!

Kate3150 · 16/06/2019 22:01

@Pastaalldaylong- see that’s how I worry I’m going to be lol. I keep thinking I’ll be fine once I can feel it move but then I know I’ll be sitting monitoring kicks 😡😡. I’m craving a cider and a Kalms tablet lol not together obviously!!! Pregnancy is hard xx

Pastaalldaylong · 16/06/2019 22:03

It is hard. But I also figure that once they're born the worry continues! I'm not overly anxious I'd say I dont worry particularly more than most. I think it's very common for people to be anxious to some degree during pregnancy especially if its your first. It's pretty normal.

Untamedtoad · 16/06/2019 22:12

Yeah, just wait til they're born... Then the anxiety really turns up a notch... And when they start crawling... Then walking... The first time they fall over... Then the ability to run away/into traffic/into busy crowds... first a&e visit... Then the constant fear for their future, and their education, and their happiness, and their planet, it's never ending, each step getting a little more anxiety inducing, but, oh so worth every once of stress. Xx

Took pregnacare vitamins ate the American pregnancy way lots of fish, milk and cheese - never drank. Slept whenever I could as it builds babies. Read about pregnancy and birth and tried to enjoy it.

mistermagpie · 16/06/2019 22:29

There's always another milestone I'm afraid, the 12 week scan, downs test result, 20 week scan, getting to 24 weeks so it would be 'viable' if you gave birth... the list goes on.

I'm on my third pregnancy, my last two were healthy and straightforward so you would think I'm pretty laid back - nope! I'm still just as anxious as I was the first time.

What I would say is, I'm not an overly anxious parent. I'm actually pretty laid back, I'm just an anxious pregnant person! So don't worry, you won't feel like this forever.

Kate3150 · 16/06/2019 22:34

@mistermagpie- it’s a vicious circle for me as I worry my anxiety is hurting bub which is the worse feeling in the world 😢

campervan00 · 17/06/2019 06:17

Thanks everyone for the replies!

I am only 4 weeks 🙈 only just got my BFP. I've had two mc's so i just know I won't be able to relax at all!
