Hi I’m 26 weeks pregnant and have always had health anxiety that was under control but it seems to be getting bad at the minute.
I have noticed a mole on the side of my vagina (where the hair grows) think it’s been there for years but it seems to look bigger and more round and think it’s slways been dark in colour. I’ve googled it, and it came up with vulva cancer so very scared. I’ve had lots of gyne stuff done over the years loads of smears, colposcopy etc and 6 rounds of ivf and all the stuff to do with that. So surely if it was anything bad someone would have said something over the years or in jan for ivf or swabs I had done by gp in November. I have booked a doctors appointment for Thursday as I have thrush so going to ask them but, wanted to see if anyone could put my mind at rest before then xxx

I found a weird raised mole on my breast yesterday and freaked out a bit, I think I've always had the mark there but it's now raised and is irregular so it's made me a bit anxious so will be going to the GP tomorrow - I have however googled moles during pregnancy and apparently hormones can make them change (this is on the NHS website too) definitely get it checked, but it seems like this is another weird pregnancy thing that happens!

Apparently it's one of those things that moles can get darker during pregnancy. Try not to worry but mention it at your appointment just in case.

I developed some completely new moles on my chest during pregnancy, and when I googled to check it was just a weird pregnancy thing, I read that existing ones can change and darken too. Do ask at your appointment since you’ve got one anyway, but try not to worry!

I ended up phoning doctors to see if could see someone sooner as I was so stressed and crying. They only let me speak over the phone who said wait till Thursday!!!

Thanks for your messages. Saw the doctor today although she wasn’t totally reassuring she said it’s just a mole and keep an eye on it! She was more interested in the fact I keep getting thrush !

The mole which I don’t think is a mole is more of a purple black lump started bleeding today so totally freaking out that it’s something bad. Any ideas ? I am going to go back to doctors next week.

Probably an ingrown hair that formed a cyst, then. They are super common along the bikini line. Does it feel sore? You could try placing a warm compress on it for a few minutes to see if that eases the irritation. Larger ones sometimes need to be drained in a doctor's office or have a short course of antibiotic cream as they can get infected.

TheWorldKickedBack · 06/07/2019 22:26

I had one of those when heavily pregnant. It was like a black/blue lump that bled and continued to bleed until I gave birth and then it just disappeared. I think it was to do with the pressure. Get it seen to if you are worried but just remember pregnancy does a whole host of weird and not so wonderful things to your body

Cb700 · 11/07/2019 18:07

Thought I would update after going to GP. It is vulva varicosities it’s quite sore and still bleeding on occasions! Has anyone else had this?

I showed midwife who didn’t think it was a vain as it has reduced in size. But I have had it for a few months. Would I be crazy to go back to the doctors? It will be the third time I have been about it! It’s still really worrying me that it is cancer.
