....In the living room! Iv just ordered a swing but with DD I had a swing, bouncer and play matt as well as carrying her mosses basket through 😂

What did you have? Im thinking to get a cheap basket to put on the table so he is high up because I KNOW DD will be poking/stroking him constantly 😌

High up dd will be pulling it off surely?? We got a travel cot so dc couldn't reach ds!

HJWT · 16/06/2019 12:02

@Walkamileinmyshoesbeforeujudge she will be 3 so she can be told not to do that but I know she won't listen if I tell her not to rub his belly 😂 she does it with all the baby's at play group!!

My living room isn't big enough for a travel cot 😯 would have to get rid of all DD's toys 😂

My ds 3 ran across a busy road last year.
He knows not to but said it was OK because he looked first. Beware your dd won't be her usual self for a while once a baby arrives! Don't overestimate her good behaviour.. My mil used to put the car seat on the table. Gave me the shudders every time.

I live in a bungalow now so I don’t have the same problem lol - phew!
But with my other 3 I was the same as you, rocking chair, bouncer, playmat etc. I had it all! Dc1 has just turned 1 when dc2 was born! Dc2 was 2 and dc1 was 3 when dc3 was born! Tbh I never even thought about what they would ‘do’ to the new baby 😕 and I guess I was just lucky Cos I had no mishaps and they were actually pretty helpful (I’m sure at that age was the only time they actually loved each other and enjoyed each other’s company 🙈) and protective of each other! Now my youngest is 8 and I’m expecting again, we have a dog (who grew up with the 8 year old) I’m more worried what the dog will do as I had a friend with a newborn round the other day and he was really jealous when I was holding the baby 😱
I suppose there is always something to worry about lol

I have a baby gym and tiny love rocking napper as it's a bouncer chair which converts in to a lie flat Moses basket type thing.

carly2803 · 16/06/2019 14:25

travel cot, and swing. Could use a moses basket?

Even a playmat on the floor but padded and nice as long as they are supervised and away from small other human!

BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil · 16/06/2019 14:31

Travel cot for the living room and bouncer chair for the kitchen which I’ll change to a jumperoo when they’re old enough. I love bouncer chairs- lifesavers!

RandomMess · 16/06/2019 14:34

We had hard floors so the pram was used indoors!

HJWT · 16/06/2019 15:51

@Walkamileinmyshoesbeforeujudge oh I would never let DD near a road without holding her hand! She defo cant grasp that at all lol, obviously I wont be leaving her in the room with the baby alone so should be fine xx

I’m going to get a rocker type chair like I had before. I hope! Was many years ago. It lay flat then mid way then upright which was fab as I used it in upright at the start or weaning. I only have my dog to worry about! I think I will lay the baby in the pram tbh when he/she sleeps. I’ll have limited space! I’ll buy a playmat for tummy time and laying down but I’ll have to move he/she if I have to leave the room until I know how my dog will be! Have a feeling the pooch will think all the new stuff is his! 🤣 xx

We put the baby in the play pen to keep him away from the toddler!

I dont have any other children or pets but I'm looking at the chicco baby hug for our little one. Didnt want a moses basket and worried a travel cot would be too big. This seems to be the best alternative I could find and while its pricey, its suitable for newborn through to toddler stage which is a bonus x

ohdearymemumof3 · 19/06/2019 17:56

I use a swing chair or moses x

Newbie21 · 20/06/2019 16:33

Doomoo and playmat. Best not to leave them unattended until DD is properly used to her little bro or sis.
