Wondering if I'm pregnant

Hi all I'm feeling rather anxious and needed a little advice. I took a pregnancy test today a day before i was due to start my period. From what I can see I have a very feint line on there. I had a bladder infection last week and they Dr said I had protein in my urine and gave my antibiotics which cleared it. They took swabs too and said I had thrush and BV so gave me other antibiotics to take I took 2 pills before I went to bed last night and then took this test this morning. So I've since stopped taking the pills as it says not to take them if you are pregnant or think you might be. I have an ultrasound and pelvic exam tomorrow due to the pains I've been having and the bleeding after intercourse. I'm going to test again in the morning before my ultrasound. Due you think they will be able to see anything this early? Do you think maybe the protein has given me a false positive? I've estimated I would be able to weeks now so I just don't know what to think... my head is all over the shop right now. Thank you x

Hiya @Jkrgjg,it looks positive, but I'm not sure if the test line is too far out. You won't be able to see anything this early on an ultrasound usually around week 5 you would see something small on ultrasound. I would say test with a first response or a clear blue digital. Sorry your feeling anxious.

Thank you for your reply Niamhzs I tested again this morning with the same brand of test and this one was completely negative not even a glimmer of positive. Maybe it was the protein still in my urine giving me a false positive? My tummy feels bloated and by breasts are incredibly sore but maybe that is just my period about to arrive. I will speak to the doctors today when I have my ultrasound and see what they say. I feel rather disappointed and so does my partner. I guess we will just have to keep trying. Although it's rather difficult when being in so much discomfort lol 😄

Your symptoms sound a lot like mine and my Drs told me it’s basically endometriosis but won’t send me for the lap test! Sent me for all manor or other tests and ultrasounds though. How long have you been ttc?? Xx

The doctors said it could be a chemical pregnancy due to being so close to my period starting. She has advised me to take another test in a few days see if that makes any difference obviously if I don't start my period by then. She said she could tell me the results of the scan and I will have to wait to speak to the doctors within the next week. She advised me not to take the antibiotics for BV incase I am pregnant and to speak to the doctors in the morning to discuss it with them in better detail. So goodness knows if she saw anything abnormal in there. She did an internal scan too which was completely numb when she was in there I couldn't feel a thing but afterwards walking was a challenge and my lower abdomen was very uncomfortable the same feeling I have when I sleep with my partner 🙁
