Is anyone planning on getting their DH/OH a gift?

As the title says really, I know traditionally people give things to the mother, and to the baby, but should I be thinking of getting my DH a gift on the birth of our child?
Has anyone else done this and if so what sort of gift do you give?

Why? Also who gets the mum a present these days?

To be honest I felt like our DD was a gift I’d given DH. There’s a lifetime of birthdays and fathers days to get nice daddy presents

We didn’t do gifts to each other. Wasn’t keen on the whole “push present” thing.
I think, of you were going to go with it, it should be something a bit special like a watch or a piece of jewellery (assuming he wears it). Something that’s a bit of a keepsake.

Thanks for replies.
I wasn’t sure if it was a “done” thing or not. I’ve heard the of a push present but didn’t think it was a new concept. I think my father gave my mother a watch.
Just wasn’t sure if I should be thinking up something for DH like cufflinks or whatever.
Not sure what’s expected.
Obviously he gets a baby!

I wasn't going to bother personally but I have bought him a little present for tomorrow from the bump.

Ah, now when you say cuff links, you remind me that after each of our cxhildrem were born, I ordered some hand and footprint cuff links for DH. Not as a gift for baby’s arrival but just for the first event that followed their births :)

I know what you mean but I gave him a baby which cost me blood, sweat and tears and by the time I was due I was past coming up with anything else decent so I just went with that Grin

Our daughter was born on his birthday. She was his present.

Never got a push present ... sleep would have been nice 😂

I am getting a Father’s Day gift got him some Lego ( technic Lego chills him ) and chocolate, a nice top to put baby in to say he is a fab dad and a card ... next year it’s just chocolate as can’t spend £100 every year especially as my money will go on child care and bills 😂 ( technically using my birthday money from last month to purchase this anyhow ) but it is his first Father’s Day and I wanted him to feel extra special.
