Positive tests/ light bleeding

Hi all,

I had my first positive test on the 11th June. Since then I have taken a test daily and all have remained positive.

I am now around 16/17 days dpo and have very light bleeding when I wipe. Today it was a little heavier and dark. My AF was due 2 days ago.

Is this common at all? I'm worried it's a chemical pregnancy.

Thanks
Xx

Hi @LittleMissi

It can be very normal to get light bleeding due to implanting of the embryo.

I had a light bleed at 8 weeks and I'm now 14 weeks with healthy baby. I would stop the testing though as once your hgc levels ride above a certain level it can make the tests negative which will worry you.

I would just make your 8 week appointment with your midwife and if you have any worries possibly look at getting an early scan?

If your extremely worried you can always call your local early pregnancy unit and ask for advice, they may well send you for an early scan xx

@Shaunieh95 thanks so much. I'm going to try and calm down and just wait and see! :)

Huge congrats to you xx

@LittleMissi have your tests been getting darker x

@HJWT hiya, yes today definetly seen a difference. There's still a brown rusty colour when I wipe today (a bit like when a period is ending). It's kinda like old blood of that makes sense.

There was only one day when it wasn't brown and it has always been very light. Yesterday had one stringy brown bit when I wiped (sorry!) so that really scared me xx
