23 weeks pregnant and the need to urinate so frequently is driving me absolutely insane. It's definitely not a water infection as there is no pain and it's been like this for months and midwifes have tested my wee at appointments with no problems but it's got to the point where I'm scared to drink because from one drink I'll need to go back and forth about 4 times to the toilet, sometimes feeling the urge straight after I've already just had a wee (defo wee'd as much as I could at the last toilet visit) I obviously still drink but Is this normal? I know you urinate more in pregnancy but I have pregnant people at my work and I swear they think I'm pretending I need the loo just to get loads of breaks as they're not going anywhere near as often as me.. ?!

Everyone's different! I never had this issue throughout most of pregnant until after 30 weeks, and no at 36 weeks I need to go every 30 - 45 mins. But another lady at my work who is pregnant has been going every 30 mins since she was in first trimester, and it got worse by the end. She said her mum and sisters thought she was just exaggerating and didn't really need to go, but she genuinely did need to go that often. So everyone is different really!

Also, I definitely get the urge to go again while walking back to my desk after having just being to the toilets... completely normal! It's a pain, but just ignore what everyone says and go to the toilets as often as you like, it's none of their business!

Also, at this stage in pregnancy I've started getting swollen ankles from sitting at desk for too long, so I get up to use the toilets every 30 mins just for an excuse to go for a walk because it's sitting for long periods of time just makes the swelling worse. So I'm killing two birds with one stone really.

I'm 16 weeks and have been alright up until now but today at work I twice had the thing of needing to go again as I was walking back from the bathroom! And so it begins...

At least I'm not alone in this 😂 it's driving me insane but then have to remember how lucky I am to even be pregnant and then realise it's not so bad I suppose, just didn't know if it was normal to be going this often! Thank you for your replies :)
