17 weeks - intense stomach pains

Hi guys

I'm 17 weeks and have the most intense stomach pains; they're above my tummy button and I think they are truly just tummy pains (as opposed to anything to do with the baby) but they're so painful! They're also accompanied by diarrhea (and if not diarrhea then constipation). Has anyone else experienced this in the second trimester? Should I be worried - because I'm not at the moment...

I had trapped wind so painful around 13/14 weeks that it felt like being stabbed in the side. I would get it checked over by a doctor though as any stomach pain should be checked out. They’d rather tell you it’s nothing to worry about 100 times than run the chance of it being something serious.
