Hi,
I am new here and wanted to start a thread to see if there is anyone in a similar situation.
I have just found out I’m pregnant after trying for a couple of months. That month I decided to not overthink and just see what happens and luckily enough a miracle happened. I realised AF was a few days late and been a lot more tired than use and a little more tender so decided to take a test and it came up positive (2-3weeks) I took another one again this morning. I’ve not yet mentioned to OH. I feel if I say it will disappear (sounds daft I know). I plan on telling him on Sunday. Since it’s Father’s Day. Cheesy I know.
I think I’m about 4/5 weeks gone.
I’m having a few dizzy spells and have read that it’s normal. I have been trying to increase my intake of water.
I was just wondering if anyone wanted to share this experience with me. I’m a little anxious/excited on what’s to come. All fingers and toes crossed

Hi @Tinz862, very happy to say I'm in the same boat! We've been trying since January but AF went AWOL after the first month but no BFP until last week! I did the test when DH was at the shop and could only keep it to myself for about 5 mins when he came through the door, so very impressed with your will power if you can wait until Sunday!

I completely understand the feeling of saying it out loud will make it not be real. If I didn't keep getting my incredibly tender boobs knocked (either through my own or DH's clumsiness, or the cat walking over me!) I wouldn't believe it!

I have an early appointment with the midwife tomorrow to try and hopefully date it. Desperately hoping a scan will show a heartbeat as I think I should now be around 6 weeks but without a LMP to sensibly base it on I have no idea! My nerves are going to be shot by the end of this!!

Congratulations @ECPCR2 !!!
Yeah similar time frames like myself. I had been on the implant and pill for years and thought if anything it would slow my chances down or make my whole body some time to get back into the swing of things.
I know actually sticking to Sunday is another story. If I manage that I’ll be proud of myself. I just want him to know so much. Yeah that’s what I think too if I’m getting little feelings then I know my body’s adapting to what it is happening so hopefully everything is all good. I have scheduled an appointment at the GP for next week and will hopefully relax a little between now and then.
I hope everything goes great at your appointment and get a better picture. Please keep me updated!

Had my appointment but no scan which was disappointing :-( And the midwife seemed set on dating based on LMP which would have me due in November... and didn't listen that I'd had dozens of negative tests between then and last week. So have caved and booked for a private scan tomorrow morning!

She did do an abdominal examination though and said she could feel firmness of my uterus which Google says would make me quite a few weeks further along than I think. But tomorrow will confirm I hope.

Have you still managed to hold off telling DP?

First of all OP, congratulations. I am relatively new here myself and also going to be a first time mum. I'm 26 this year and I'm around 10 weeks pregnant. I have my first scan at the end of the month and I'm so nervous/excited.

Everything about this pregnancy is nerve wracking and exciting at the same time.

I am currently suffering with the nausea and vomiting but hoping I only have a few weeks of this torture left before I start to perk up.

Hope your pregnancy goes smoothly and try to enjoy it, even when you feel like a bag of poo! Lol x
