3rd baby, 28 weeks, no ‘proper’ bump

Had a glucose tolerance test yesterday and whilst I was sat reading my book to pass the two hours, I overheard/saw a few women chatting away to each other about the test. I heard them say how they’re all a similar gestation to me, and when I looked at them, they all had bumps, I mean, proper bumps, looking at least 32+ weeks kinda bumps. Some of them were on baby number one, others it was their second or third DC’s...

I couldn’t help but look down at my stomach and realise that I just don’t look pregnant. This is essentially my third back to back pregnancy (will have three DC’s under three), so it’s not as if my stomach muscles are amazing and are keeping the baby firmly in place - I’ve had two sections so if anything, my stomach muscles are shot to pieces.

I’m a size 14 mostly, in some shops I’m a 16, and just concerned by my clear lack of hardened, round bump! Growth scans and MW appts are all absolutely fine, baby kicks me left, right and centre all day long so I know that bottom line, there aren’t really any issues, but I did think that at 28 weeks with my third baby in 2 and a half years, I’d have at least looked a little bit like the other women that were surrounding me yesterday! If I wear high waisted jeans, like I did yesterday, you honestly wouldn’t believe I’m 28 weeks gone with my third....

Anyone else on 3rd/4th/5th pregnancy and weirdly not showing much?

I’m no expert but last week my pregnancy app did a thing on this saying there is no correct bump size people are all just different and it depends on a lot of things.

It honestly amazes me how different everyone is and that includes bumps in pregnancy.....I know its very hard not to compare but everyone is different and that's whats refreshing. I'm 15wks with 4th pregnancy and some days I think wow I look pregnant and other days I just look fat lol but....
it's what's on the inside that counts 😊

I think it was just a little disheartening to be around so many women of varying body shapes and height, all of a similar gestation to me and all with blatant bumps, while I was sat there looking like I've just been having the odd extra bit of cake here and there.

I remember with first dc, I 'popped' at around 21-22 weeks, I think DC2 was a similar gestation too. Had my pregnancies been more spaced out I might've understood it more, but given how close in age my DC's will be, and everything I've read about popping earlier with subsequent pregnancies I'm just a bit 🤔 as to why nothing much seems to have happened yet.

@thatsnotcheddar
my sister in law is also pregnant with her 4th she is 30wks and her belly is still compact and not a big bump.....it might just be the way baby is lying too as her baby was laying back to back aswell?
