Am I pregnant

Hello guys wondering if you could help me.
I am 5 days late on my period and I have gotten two faint positives but have been getting negative too! I'm so confused what is going on are these evaporated lines or am I pregnant???
How comes I'm testing negative but every now and then I get a faint positive.
I've used first response and it came back negative so don't know what to do x
Below are the faint positives I've got.
But keep getting negative now

I see a line!!! I was 8 days late before I got my BFP I used a frer everyday and was negative until the 8th day ❤️❤️

Are you always using first morning urine? That can make a big difference. Also different brands have different pick up rates, but false negatives are much more likely than false positives!

I'm due on my period in 2 days but had cramps, ovary pain, spotting brown discharge, nausea etc. Tests have been negative mostly but sometimes I swear I've seen the faintest line. Did a strip test this morning with my first urine & I adjusted the contrast.. can anyone see a line??

It's more like a shadow tbh.. not a definite line 🙄x

@RMarieClaire yeah always morning urine and I've gotten negative then couple days ago got a positive then tested again day after and got another negative then next day got positive again then keep getting negative now.
So I'm so confused not sure why I'm getting positive and negatives???
Does this mean I can be pregnant or getting false positives

I see a faint line- mine looked like that too and it was a positive!
Try first response pregnancy test, honestly so so much better and get your results up in no time! Good luck!

A doctor in the uk won’t do anything. Likely the positives weren’t positives.

They'd do a pregnancy test...

When the GP knows that the OP has done a bunch of HPT already, they will say she isn’t pregnant.

^wss - as soon as a GP knows you’ve done hpt’s they won’t do a test as they are no different to hpt’s. OP would likely be sent away and told to test again in a week’s time.

It’s possible that you’ve ovulated late or not at all both of which will delay your period (and it’s not entirely unknown for an anovulatory cycle to result in a completely missed period!!) and would by why a GP would advise waiting a week and testing again. Also, if getting negative tests, GP’s are reluctant to do any investigations until you’ve missed 2-3 periods.

Well, just have to wait then.

I would say the first response are more reliable than the cheap internet sticks OP :( especially considering the lines are so faint and in the pictures I can’t see colour to the lines? Could be my eyes though.

I think FRER are so sensitive they would have shown up positive by now if you were pregnant. I agree with pp that the internet cheapies might not be as reliable.

Does this look like a faint positive? Was due on period today & hasn't arrived so will be very early on if I am pregnant. Still been having cramps, bloating, & brown discharge

Glad you can see it too!! All the others I've taken over the last week I swore I could see the faintest line whereas others couldn't see it in the photos & neither could be partner..
but this one I could definitely see something.. my partner isn't convinced that it's there. Guess it could still be too early to test anyway. We're on holiday at the moment so going to take another one when we get back.
Hopefully that'll give it time for the line to get darker :)xx

There’s no CLEARLY VISIBLE line...that’s what HPT require for the test to be positive.

Wise to leave it a week, you’re torturing yourself here!

@Sessy19 here's a picture of my test , currently 32 weeks pregnant now.
Just saying if there's a faint line it could still very well be a positive, and I do see a faint line on your test too OP
