Due date has been anticipated?

I had my scan last month which gave me a due date of mid November. But according to my calculations (I have a fairly regular period and ovulations pains) it should be one week later.

Could the scan date be wrong? The sonographer said baby was stretching and at the beginning got a later date but after a few measurments she settled on an earlier date.

Babies come when they’re ready. I wouldn’t get too hung up on exact dates.

And when every baby comes out in a different size, I’ve never quite understood how a date can be suggested based only on how long they are....but that is the way we measure.

Was this your 12w scan? The estimated due date you’re given at this scan is the one they’ll stick with through your pregnancy, but I don’t think a week either side is considered early or late

Honestly don't sweat it. As Sessy says a week makes no difference, the baby will come when ready.
Some countries don't even issue due dates, just periods during which the baby might come.

Yes, it was my 12 weeks. I will have a repeat c section as had an emergency one two years ago, so it will be booked around 39 weeks.

Very few babies come on their due date anyway, would be much easier to plan round if they would!
I'm sure they'll keep an eye on you as your pregnancy progresses and book the section in for when they're confident baby is a good weight and ready.
