late period but negative test??

Hi, i was just wondering if anyone has ever experienced a late period and then still ended up being pregnant, my cycle is very regular 28 days and being on for 4 days/5 tops, my last period i came on the day after i was supposed to and was on for 7 days so that was a bit out of the ordinary and this month i was due on the 7th june but am still to come on, i took 2 tests on monday and both came out negative, my breasts have been sore and i have been cramping for atleast 2 weeks, been very nauseous and threw up on the 2nd and 4th of june, can't think of any other symptoms from the top of my head but yeah. i have no idea when i ovulated and i can't remember when i last had sex,, we are not actively trying for a baby but wouldn't be upset if it happened and i'm just curious if this has happened to anyone else and they've still ended up getting a positive test.

It all hinges on when you ovulated and when you had sex relative to ovulation. If you ovulate later than you normally do, af will be late or you will get a later bfp. It's that simple.

And it's crazy common.

If you have sex around ovulation there is a max 30% chance of becoming pregnant.

I was every 28 days even after my miscarriage. In January this year went to 40 no sign of my AF, even got the doctors to do a blood as the pregnancy tests were negative. That came back negative too, so they said I couldn’t be pregnant. On the 12 February I did another test as AF still hadn’t shown and was positive.
They said had to be I ovulated very late, but still said I could only be 4 weeks pregnant. Had a slight bleed so had to be scanned early.
Saw a baby with a strong heart beat at 7+5. They apologised, because they said it doesn’t happen often but can. I’m now 22 weeks.
So yes there’s a chance, I’m proof of that.

I didn't get a positive test until 8 days after AF was due I tested like crazy every day and had exactly the same symptoms as you !! I finally got a faint line on day 8 and a BFP 9 days after AF was due, I'm now 7 weeks ❤️xx

For each story like this, there are a thousand people where it was just late ovulation. Hugely more likely!
