Almost 28 weeks

In past few days have been coming up in hives on my arms and backs of hands. Some are quite itchy.

Anyone else had this?

Not in connection to pregnancy but I do suffer from urticaria. I'd call the midwife to check what they say (I do know hives can appear in pregnancy though).

I'm off my usual antihistamines at the moment and am managing my hives with some cream I make up myself (it was developed by a pharmacist who also had urticaria) that contains hayfever eye drops (which are safe to use in pregnancy).

I’ve had this since I fell pregnant!
At the booking app the mw said my body was attacking itself or something like that. It has continued and some weeks is worse than others and nowadays they look like little fluid filled blisters when they appear!
Mw did query obstetric cholestasis but ruled it out because my hives don’t fit the symptoms - they are on the backs of my hands, between fingers and in my wrists, and tops of my feet occasionally. I’m not itchy on my palms or soles of feet! I’m 31 weeks now! I’ve just learnt to live with it despite how itchy it is - but drives hubby mad with all the scratching at night when it’s at it’s worst! Hope it improves for you soon x

PS: if anyone wants the recipe for the cream, DM me and I'll send you think link to the website with it on.

I had this! The GP told me that in pregnancy the immune system is more sensitive so you can have a reaction to almost anything. I was prescribed pregnancy safe antihistamines which resolved it.

I have them on my upper back and a few on my upper arms. My skin has definitely become more sensitive - need to be more careful with soaps / fabrics etc.
