Hi all

Hoping for some reassurance. I am either 6-7 weeks pregnant at the moment and just seen a small amount of brown spotting in my underwear when I went to the loo. Nothing on the paper - please please tell me this is normal?! I have an early scan this Sunday with my mum and husband coming in and would dread to have them both there to find out bad news???

It's not "normal" but it is more common than they have you believe

I had spotting at 6 weeks and then for a
Week from 9-10 with 2 bouts of bright red. All was fine and I'm now 18 weeks pregnant.

Everything crossed for you. If you're not cramping it's a good sign but until you have that scan you can't know for sure

Thank you!

Agree it's not "normal"
Maybe best to call EPU my MC started with brown spotting and I never had cramps or heavy bleeding

@CFlips no harm in contacting gp. I had spotting for a day at 4 weeks. Never happened with previous pregnancies but it has turned out to the IB. They may make you wait until your scan to confirm. I got an early scan but I've had 3 MCs before so they tend to be more willing but do ask gp if spotting has continued.
