Hi, I am pregnant with my firstbaby (1st positive test on 2nd June) I believe I am just over 4 weeks.
3 days ago I started get an uncomfortable pain on my left side and I wondered if this is anything to be concerned about?

I dont want to pester my doctor, I am naturally a worrier anyway, so this is driving me insane. I dont know whats normal and whats not.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It’s most likely gas.

I had pain on my left side from 5-8wks i went and got it checked out everything was fine,im now 19wks. If it gets bad then go see your doctor thats what i did then they sent me to the hospital x

Its most likely nothing to worry about but I would get checked out just in case it's an ectopic pregnancy.

I'm 8 weeks, and I've had the same thing, I've been told it's normal but if it's really sore then to go back. Often I feel like I have a stitch in my left side too. This started at about 4 weeks

I had the same, only on the right side. Midwife said it might be from the ovary that released the egg, as [something] from there is feeding the baby until the placenta develops (I'm so sorry if that made no sense, but I can't remember exactly what she said) I wouldn't worry if I were you, but if you are worried I'd get it checked :)

LaurenSarah22 · 10/06/2019 17:06

Sometimes you get a pain on the side your egg was realised on. I wouldn't worry unless your doubled over in pain and bleeding

Ghost88 · 11/06/2019 09:06

Thanks so much for replying everyone, I feel loads better. I have spoken to my GP over the phone (she must think I am a right pest) and she said the same thing, only come in if it's severe pain or bleeding.

Fingers crossed, seen so much about missed miscarriages its actually frightening.

I feel like I have been a bit ignorant in the past as to what pregnant women go through :( its actually a little horrendous all the things you worry about :(

Thanks again x

I had the same and when I went for an early scan I asked the sonographer and she said the embryo had implanted on that side I was feeling pain, so nothing to worry about - hopefully the same for you

Emmafromdorset · 12/06/2019 19:08

I'm currently 4+5 and I'm experiencing the same, dull achy type feelings on one side. I'm not in any pain, so just trying not to worry about it.

IdLikeToKeepItOnPlease · 12/06/2019 19:20

I had this when I was around 6 weeks, coupled with some period pain type cramps (and the most HORRIFIC vomiting ever).

I went to my GP who sent me for an early scan to rule out ectopic pregnancy. Scary but all was done and we were told it was implanting pain and nothing to worry about.

That early scan was so reassuring even though the baby just looks like a little smudge on the scan.

30 weeks now Smile

Don’t worry about going to your GP with any worries, the first few weeks are scary and you don’t have a midwife yet to turn to. Better safe than sorry always.

I had this around 5-6 weeks. Turns out it was constipation. :) the joys eh?!
