Lots of pressure/heaviness when I need to do a bowel movement

Hi!

I am 24 weeks pregnant (fifth baby). I have experienced lots of issues in this pregnancy (wouldn't know where to start!) but this particular issue became more pronounced in the second trimester.

It's just a really really heavy feeling down below. I appreciate this can be normal (after google searches galore!) and although I do get this randomly, it seems very pronounced when I need to have a bowel movement - super heavy, associated hip pain etc - quite bad.

I have piles which I am trying to manage, I have had other issues which caused problems 'down below' (IBS, Sciatica, back issues, other back issues with bowel movements) which probably doesn't help.

Has anyone experienced this? I am just concerned as its only 24 weeks, and it really impacts my daily life.

Thank you for reading :)

Have you had your cervix looked at? If not do it asap. Straining for a bowel movement can cause issues when you have cervical incompetance.
