Had 2 normal vaginal births and laboured normally with dc3 but ended up with an emcs (looong and unusual story that's unlikely to repeat).

Currently expecting dc4 and considering a vbac. Tbh, my recovery from emcs was ok and relatively quick/painless but I hated being stuck in hospital for a week (mandatory where I live) and being unable to drive/lift etc.

Did a vbac work for you? Were the midwives encouraging of it? And how long between your cs and your vbac? There'll be just over 3 years between mine.

There was 2years 9 months between mine and tbh it was a completely normal birth. No issues with scar and none since. You do need to be monitored continuous, well you did 8 years ago.

Oh I had vaginal with first DC, then a section with second and then a VBAC with my third.

That's reassuring, thanks 👍 Do you mind me asking why you ended up with a section? Mine was due to the baby being breech, but it happened in a very weird and sudden way. I've heard that if you have section because of a breech, they are more likely to push for a section again because of the chance of another breech.

I had an undiagnosed breech (went into labour 39 weeks, ended one foot out, one up) which meant an emergency CS. All went well.

Next pregnancy was diagnosed as breech and a CS booked for 38 weeks. She turned and labour started spontaneously 2 days before the plan (37+5). Had a "normal" delivery, all went fine. A bit more monitoring and less moving about than I would have liked, but all went well.

To be honest I just went with the flow and was prepared to follow the advice of the medical professionals. Just shows that even a planned CS can be thwarted by baby coming when it wants to anyhow!

My section was because my DD was unwell with a genetic condition and wasn't going to come without a fight, I found all doctors and midwives really positive with trying for a VBAC.

No experience of breech though sorry.

I had a section with DS2 due to him being unwell. 3 years later I had a vbac. Was the easiest most uncomplicated birth ever. In fact I got to the hospital 9 minutes before he was born!! No pain relief or anything.

Initially they were going to do another section but eventually they let me do a vb
