How far gone could I be?

I have absolutely NO Idea how far gone I am as I had mc on 7th May. I could only have really ovulated about 11 days ago? So maybe around 3 weeks 4 days gestational age? Does anyone know how I can work it out?? I've been sent for a scan tomorrow and I'm not really sure what I'm expecting to see at this stage...

Also my pregnancy test is a very strong test line? I had a definite negative 3 days in a row 2 weeks ago.

I think they will use the date of the miscarriage as your lmp until you have your dating scan and then will adjust dates as necessary.

Are you sure you had a miscarriage?

niamhzs · 10/06/2019 08:48

@sebashocked , yeah well that's what they told me! It was classed as PUL as they couldn't find pregnancy so did my bloods hcg levels were 40 and I was supposed to be 7 weeks. But they called it a chemical.

Hmmmm. Did you have a medical termination? Obviously keeping my fingers crossed for you that it's a new healthy pregnancy but would be concerned that it is retained product (awful term) from the last pregnancy. Keeping my fingers crossed for good news from your scan.

So they have said it's not old pregnancy tissues causing the positive pg test. However they are unable to see anything at this stage apart from thick lining of the womb. Waiting my blood test results. Like I say I could only have ovulated around 12 days ago so do you think it's just too early to see anything on a scan? She said thick lining means it's getting ready for implantation?

The day your miscarriage completes is usually counted as cycle day 1. This only gives a rough idea as your periods may be all over the place after a miscarriage and ovulation can be delayed.

Based on that, the furthest along you could possibly be is just shy of 5 weeks. But if you did only ovulate 12 days ago that would be why they can't see anything just yet.

@Bambamber true, but I thought once you get a positive test implantation has occurred.. so surely she would've been able to see something? She has called me back on Wednesday morning as my bloods show 1510 hcg and 90.6 progesterone which would indicate a new pregnancy. Fingers crossed she sees something tomorrow.

Same thing happened to me and I'm now 19 weeks with second daughter :) They will go off the last day of your miscarriage, then give you an accurate due date at your dating scan, good luck xx
