MMC and Failed Medical Management - feel like I might go insane!!!

So I stopped feeling pregnant and started spotting at around 7 weeks, before having what was like a week and a half long light period. I knew right from the 7 week mark that I wasn't pregnant anymore and went to the hospital but had to wait 2 more weeks just for them to tell me what I already knew. Although I'd stopped bleeding, the sac was still in there and I told them I wanted medical management because by that point I just wanted it over.

So I put in the diclofenac suppository (pretty uncomfortable), psyched myself up, bought loads of chocolate, got a string of films ready, swallowed the pills and waited. And waited. Nothing. Of course I went online and Googled, and lots of things I found said that taking the pills orally is meant to actually be pretty ineffective compared to inserting them vaginally (my nurse said either is fine...). I'd suspected this because I'd eaten a big meal beforehand and was wondering how the pills would get absorbed in amongst all that.

So I called them the next day to request another round of pills and they basically said they aren't interested until I've waited THREE DAYS, which seems like an eternity right now. I'd already decided to take next week off work to recover from the bleeding, but I may not have even started bleeding by Monday. If I go in, from what I've read on here, I may just start bleeding without warning (and I'm a teacher so that would be beyond awful)... so I don't feel like I can go in until it's happened, but I have no idea when it will eventually start. I don't really want to have to explain to work what's going on but I think I will have to, and I'm worried they will think I'm having too long off. I also feel like my life is on hold, and like nothing I do brings me any pleasure. I am crying a lot, mainly out of frustration. It is all consuming.

Any similar experiences? How long is it acceptable to take off work? And did anyone's medical management really take 3 days to start?
