Bleeding during early pregnancy

Hey ladies

I am freaking out.
I'm 4 weeks 4 days pregnant, me and my partner have just had sex - I wouldn't say it was rough but it was enough and I've started bleeding. It's slowing down but I am so panicky.

I'm not in any pain.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm so scared :(

@taylz12 I haven't experienced this myself but I had read posts over the last week where other ladies have and all is fine. It's not uncommon. If the bleeding continues then maybe contact your GP and ask for referral to EPU. It will likely be too early for a scan though. They may do an HCG blood test which takes a few days. Alternatively they may ask you to wait a week then take another pregnancy test. If the bleeding has slowed down and then stops then it is likely to be nothing to worry about. Bleeding is very scary in pregnancy. Wishing you luck that all is ok.

I had this on Friday afternoon - it was a lot of bright red blood but no pain. DP insisted on taking me to hospital where I was seen at the EPU. I was 5+1, they were unable to scan me but did do bloods etc for HCG which came back very high so they are scanning me tomorrow. The bleeding stopped within a few minutes and yesterday I just had a tinge in the morning which was brown so I think leftover.

I was pretty sure everything was over on Friday but I am feeling positive, the midwife couldn't say if it was normal or not but said it could just be changes in my cervix. And sex is not a cause of miscarriage.

In the meantime, I am never having sex again!
