IBS and pregnancy??

Has anyone else got IBS? I never really have flare ups but as soon as I'm pregnant it really interferes with my IBS. I read on google it can cause weak muscles in the pelvis and people with IBS can be at higher risk of miscarriage. I never thought about this when I had my last 2 mc. Is it something I should bring up to my gp? As I don't currently take anything for it. Thankyou!

I have ibs and have had it for around 9 years when I saw my GP last week I asked if there was anything I could take when I have a flare up as had been taking anti diarrhoea tablets before but unable to take those now and was told that being pregnant may actually help reduce the amount of flare ups I have 🤔 not entirely sure how but think it's going to be a wait and see situation.

Luckily I do know my triggers so can avoid as best as possible but stress can cause it for me also which of cause is a bit harder to avoid.

I can't take any of my medication - apart from my sickness stuff (praise be!). I'm finding the IBS cramps are more painful but I've not really suffered with pregnancy related constipation - if I feel a bit bloated I'll eat something I know triggers me and bam! No more bloat (in 4-6 hours 🤣)
Its mostly about diet though really - I've not really put any baby weight on yet - nearly half way there - because I've got to be careful what I eat or Im in pain/sick/diarrhoea.
Its not nice being not being able to take my meds though. I feel sorry for my DP having to live with me and my farty IBS 🤣

I have IBS and I'm 6 weeks and been suffering with serve constipation. Spoke to my GP who said she thinks it's more the pregnancy than the IBS causing the constipation. I really hope that's the case. I've been taking lactulose and drinking prune juice (vile stuff) once a day which is helping as today it's been too much the other way with an urgent need to do to the loo 🙄. I can't the balance right.
I also read to eat fibre but o think fibre is bad for my IBS so get the balance of that right has been difficult.
