Freezing cold - would you see someone? (DC2)

I feel crap. 10+3. Had awful morning sickness but now I am managing to eat and drink. Dropped a wee sample off at docs last week - all clear. Booking in appointment bloods all ok.

The thing I’m worried about is how cold I am - I mean frozen to the core, most of the time. Wrapped up in blankets rarely feeling warm. Some days I’ve had a mild temp of 37.8 but I’ve read when you’re pregnant that can be normal.

I don’t remember this with DC1. Would you see anyone or has anyone else felt like this please and it be normal? Getting a GP appointment is such a hassle at my surgery.

Thanks

I've been feeling colder than usual. Currently wearing a fleece, blanket and puppy asleep on my lap and would still prefer more warmth!!

Thanks for replying. Ah really, not alone then! Do you feel unwell or just cold?

I was freezing cold until about 15weeks! I think pregnancy just affects us all differently.

It's normal and nothing to worry about.

You feel cold as a higher amount of your blood is being diverted to you uterus for the baby. Is normal and should pass once the placenta has finished developing at around 18-20 weeks.

After that you will have your own personal hot water bottle and be around 30% warmer than usual!

Get your thyroid checked if you haven't already. I'm cold pretty much all the time (even when it's warm out) and mine is underactive.

I was cold up until about 16 weeks. Now at 21 weeks I’ve started to feel warm again
