Any midwives or sonographers around?

I had a growth scan and although at the hospital they told me everything was okay, I’m really worried with the different percentiles as they seem to be all over the place and google has made it all worse! I was wondering if a midwife or a sonographer could pm me for a quick chat - I’d be forever grateful!! X

I'm not a MW but could I ask why you are worried if they said it's all ok? They are the professionals :) ours was all over the shop at our 28 week growth scan but had all evened out at the 36th week one. She also shot up from the 43rd percentile to 79th percentile (the estimated birth weight one).
Please try not to worry - they would have mentioned if there was a problem. I believe it is the estimated birth weight one that is the one they pay a lot of attention to, and use the other measurements to work that out.

Hi, yes I’m 37 weeks now, so not much time for things to even out! Femur and head/abdomen in wildly varying percentiles, hence my worry.

@worriedaf out DS was measuring different gestational age 14/15 weeks depending on what they measured! If they said its fine don't worry! If it wasn't they would be getting you back for regular scans xx

Or even induce you x

I had growths cans last time and I'm sure if they were concerned by the percentiles difference etc they would have said something and you would have been referred. They have a window where the measurements can be within before it's an issue.

If you're very anxious about it call your midwife for a chat

I think sometimes measurements are not as accurate the further on you get as its a lot harder to get accurate measurements on a bigger baby compared to earlier on in the pregnancy. Also agree if they had concerns about the jump of measurements they would act upon it, they did with me but in the end when my dc was born it was clear the scan was way out and inaccurate. If you have any concerns ring your midwife though, thats what they're there for

I messaged her and I’m hoping she’ll get back to me when she’s working. Thank you for your messages x

Thanks @fruit, hopefully that’s the case.
