Baby drinking less than normal

Hi all. I did post this in parenting as well but haven’t got any responses.

DD is 12 weeks old and formula fed. For the past three days she has been drinking less than she normally does. Normally she will drink 6/7oz every 3/4 hours, but for the past three days I’m lucky if she drinks 5. Some feedings she will only drink 3.

She has also been sleeping more during the day than usual. Normally she won’t sleep for longer than 30/45 minutes at a time during the day (although she sleeps well at night), but on Wednesday she had two three hour long naps and she’s had two naps so far today (only been up since 6:30). She still sleeps well at night. In fact she slept for the longest uninterrupted stretch she ever has last night (nine hours) which was lovely Grin

She is still quite content and smiley and doesn’t show any signs of illness or dehydration (no fever, soft spot doesn’t look sunken, still having wet and dirty nappies ect) but I’m worried about this sudden lack of appetite!

She HAS been developing at seemingly breakneck speed over the past few days. She rolled over for the first time on Wednesday and has become a lot more vocal, grabby, and aware of the world over the past few days. Sometimes I will have to take her into another, quieter room during feedings as she will want to constantly look around and won’t keep her head still! Grin

Could it be that all of this is the result of a growth spurt? I’ve read that they do have a big one at around this age. But I’ve also read that growth spurts normally only last 1-2 days and this has been going on for 3.

I’m a FTM so everything is a worry!

Thanks! Pics just cuz she’s adorable ❤️

Have you got your health visitor's number? They can give you advice or there's you local children's drop in centre where you go to get them weighed.
