Hi I'm 32 weeks today and for the past couple of days iv been getting Braxton hicks that are quite painful. The pain starts at the bottom of my bump and in to my lower back. They are not regular just come randomly. Has anyone experienced painful braxton hicks?

Hi, I'm 34 weeks and had some painful twinges here and there not sure if mine are BH's though! Mine are also around the bottom of my stomach and sometimes get a shooting pain down there which makes me bolt right up 😳. Not had back pain but we're all different. Sometimes I just put it down to the baby giving me a jab 😂 x

I can relate to the shooting pain down there 😱 apparently it's called lightning crotch lol

I've had painful period type cramps for about the last month...my midwife said they were BH...even though they don't really fit the description you read online!

Anyway, I haven't gone into labour yet...now at 40 weeks so would really like to!!

They can be quite sore, yes! They are typically worse if you are dehydrated, so you to keep up with the fluids. I’d also get really nasty BH if I was sitting in one position for too long. Getting up and moving periodically can reduce the frequency and intensity of BH.
